Su Spence
Chief Executive

Su joined the organisation in February 2013 as Finance Director and was appointed as Chief Executive in September 2016. She is passionate about delivering high quality services that meet local needs and seeks to deliver the 'right' solution in the best way possible. Utilising her financial background as well as input from residents, partners and staff and drawing on best practice, Su believes this is a great place to start when looking at how to bring together our service delivery.

She is really excited to be leading on the implementation of the new housing management system, which will not only transform the way PHP works and communicates with residents, but will continue to place them at the heart of our services.

Su has always worked in the public sector and started her career with the NHS in London before moving to the local authority sector. However, having grown up in Devon and Cornwall, the lure of the seaside was too much when Su started her own family. Weekends are now spent on the beach or out in the New Forest, trying to catch up with children on their bikes or sampling local restaurants.

Steve Richards
Strategic Director: Operations

Steve has worked in housing for over 30 years starting as a housing officer in south London. He has spent the majority of his career in the East Midlands working for local authorities and housing associations- with a brief spell in an ALMO in the North East!

The Operations team are responsible for the management and maintenance of resident’s homes including the customer services team at Beech House, the responsive repairs service and building improvement programmes. The majority of the team spend a significant amount of their time out of the office at sheltered schemes, on estates and visiting residents in their homes.

The Operations team is committed to ensuring that PHP provides the best possible service tailored to those who need it when they need it.

In his spare time Steve enjoys exploring Dorset and the surrounding countryside, either by foot or motorcycle. It’s very different to the East Midlands due to the absence of power stations and coal mines!
