Did you know you don't have to be a PHP resident to join in, just over 55?
Would you like to meet new people, learn new skills and have some fun at the same time?
Do you feel isolated or know someone who is?
Why not become involved in your community, join in a new activity?
Tell me where?
Poole Housing Partnership has 31 housing schemes for the over 55's spread out across the Borough of Poole, most of the schemes have communal facilities. The facilities usually consist of a lounge with tables and seating, a kitchen and toilets. Activities run from these facilities and anyone over the age of 55 can attend.
What activities can I do?
You could come to an art class, or be a bit more active and join in with one of the many indoor kurling groups or an exercise class, make new friends at one of our many lunch or breakfast clubs or get your vocal chords going with one of the Community Choirs. We have Memory cafes and bingo sessions and much more with new activities being put on all the time.
How do I join in?
It is easy. Click on the activities link below and have a read through the activity brochure. Then if you would like to join in simply call the Sheltered Housing Officer for the scheme you are interested in (details on the list) or contact the Community Engagement Coordinator who's details are above.

We also run one off activities and events. In the past we have had World Book Night coffee mornings where you could come along for a free cuppa and book, art workshops, healthy eating cookery demonstrations, Information days where a wide range of information that is relevant to people over retirement age was available and Open Housing week. Many other events have taken place and we are planning more all the time. Please do check back here from time to time to see what is coming up.
Upcoming/New Events and Activities
A space at our welcoming and friendly Creative Arts for Dementia programme has become available. This is a very varied programme designed for people who have memory loss. Carers meet and support each other in a separate room. Contact the Community Engagement Coordinator for further details.
