As well as our formal meetings we have lots of ways that you could get involved, for example:
- Joining your local residents association or starting one up
- Getting involved in social activities for over 55s at our sheltered housing schemes
- Enjoying time planting, growing and sharing the produce from community gardens
- Gaining the support of local residents to apply for funding for neighbourhood improvements
- Running your own community events or helping us to put something on in your area
You can find details of all these activities and more on our ‘Becoming involved in your community’ Page
Special mentions!
Here are just a few of the lovely comments we received when we asked residents to nominate someone who works hard to improve their local community:
- We want to thank them for their work transforming our courtyard garden and vegetable raised beds
- We appreciate her constant work arranging the self-financing, cooking and preparation of all the events for residents who use the community hall
- We value her continued commitment, time and effort, particularly her positive ‘can do’ attitude especially with her involvement with our community garden
- We recognise her tireless work in arranging social activities and outings
