Extra care

Independent living, with onsite care support

Show flat 1 for web.jpg

A smaller, more manageable property – with your own front door and personal space. Helping you to maintain your independence for longer.

You can feel reassured that help is available in an emergency. Having staff on site can help you feel especially safe and secure.

Communal facilities and organised activities give you opportunities to socialise with other residents.

How to apply for extra care

The Help Desk or the Housing Options team is the first point of contact for all enquiries about Extra Care Housing. They are based at:

BCP Council
Civic Centre
BH15 2RU

You can contact them in the following ways:

Telephone: 01202 633902 - Helpdesk

or 01202 633804 - Housing Options

Texts only: 07779 880212

Email: housingadvice@poole.gov.uk

BCP website: Help for adults

They can give you more information and, if needed, arrange for a social care assessment or put you in touch with somebody who can provide you with more detailed information.

This is an opportunity for you to talk through your circumstances with a Social Worker to decide the best way forward for you.

You can also visit any scheme before you apply. Your Social Worker will apply on your behalf and will let you know if you have been successful.
