On 9th June, residents from the four tower blocks met PHP staff and representatives from Arcus Consulting, at Skinner Street United Reformed Church Hall. Residents were able to view a typical replacement balcony, terracotta cladding, windows and a sprinkler system. They were asked for their opinion on the proposed design and colours for the blocks, as well as their views on the proposal to add a new entrance lobby and the design of an entrance canopy. We had a fantastic response, with 35% of residents completing the feedback forms and the information is now being collated.
The planning application has now been submitted and we are currently preparing documents to send out to prospective contractors, inviting them to bid on the forthcoming project.
This refurbishment involves a significant amount of works to be carried out over a lengthy period of time. We will be communicating with residents throughout, keeping them informed, consulting and listening to their questions and comments.
