Cynthia Close

The contract to build twenty two new homes on the former sheltered site in Cynthia Close was awarded to Parson & Joyce (P&J). The accommodation will consist of 10 three-bedroom houses, as well as 3 one-bedroom and 9 two-bedroom apartments. These will be allocated to families and people on the housing register, with a small number to be sold as shared ownership.

Trees on Cynthia Road boundary which were classed as low or poor quality by an Arboculturalist, have been removed to make way for the planting of 30 new trees

Last year, we asked residents to help us pick a new street name for the twenty-two new homes which are due to be built on the former sheltered housing site. Following a count of all the votes, residents overwhelmingly chose ALICE GARDENS.

If you have any questions or concerns about the new development, please contact PHP’s Resident Liaison Officer, Mark Sloane on 01202 128446. Alternatively, you can email: getinvolved.php@bcpcouncil.gov.uk
