The contract to build twenty two new homes on the former sheltered site in Cynthia Close was awarded to Parson & Joyce (P&J). The accommodation will consist of 10 three-bedroom houses, as well as 3 one-bedroom and 9 two-bedroom apartments. These will be allocated to families and people on the housing register, with a small number to be sold as shared ownership.

Last year, we asked residents to help us pick a new street name for the twenty-two new homes which are due to be built on the former sheltered housing site. Following a count of all the votes, residents overwhelmingly chose ALICE GARDENS.
