What is holiday at home?
Holiday at Home is a two day event in a relaxed environment where you can enjoy fun, food and friendship.
Who can attend?
Any older person whether you are active or less so. Although the event is being run by The Salvation Army, you do not need to be a member to attend.
What will happen during these days?
Each day there will be two main sessions. For each session, you will have a choice of activities to take part in. Each day will be different, but may look something like this: 10-10.30am Arrive & Register 10.30 -11am Morning coffee 11 – 12noon Session 1 12.15-1.15pm Lunch, drinks and relax 1.45-2.45pm Session 2 2.45-3.15pm Afternoon Tea 3.30pm Thought for the day 4pm End of day In between sessions there will be plenty of time to chat or simply relax in a quiet corner. Papers, magazines, books and games will be available throughout. What more do you need on holiday?
How much will it cost?
Holiday at home will cost £10 for both days. We hope you can come on both days but if you are not able to the cost will be £6 for one day. Lunch and refreshments plus all activities are included in the cost.
Where is it?
All activities will be held at The Salvation Army, 2 New Orchard, Poole. BH15 1LY. Disabled facilities are available.
How will I get there?
Unfortunately we are not able to provide any transport. There is car parking nearby and we are on a bus route.
A main meal will be served at lunch time as well as refreshments throughout the day. Please indicate dietary requirements on the booking form.
