What is Holiday at Home?
Holiday at Home is a series of days out in a relaxed environment where you can enjoy fun, friends and food. Some of the days will have a theme.
Who can attend?
Anyone aged 65 or over, whether you are active or less so. Although the event is being run by the local churches you do not have to be a member to attend. Please note we are not able to support people with personal care or mobility. Carers are also welcome to come if you need any support.
What will happen?
Each day will start from 10.00 am and will finish around 4.00 pm. Each day will include a morning activity, lunch and an afternoon activity eg. Music, games, quizzes, craft. Refreshments will be available during the day.
How much will it cost?
Each day will cost £5, to be paid on arrival to each individual church. This goes towards your food and activities. You are welcome to pay more if you would like.
How do I book my place?
Places are available on a first come first serve basis but you are welcome to book as many days as you like. For catering purposes we will need your booking 1 week prior to the individual session eg. If you would like to attend the session on the 30th July then we need your form by the 23rd July.
How will I get there?
All of the churches are in the Winton area and are close to public transport routes. Please let us know if transport is a problem and we will help if we can. You can contact each individual church who will be able to advise you about bus routes or parking.
