A good work/life balance is important and different people have different requirements. Of course we still need to be mindful of the needs of the business, but wherever possible, we want to do what we can to help you to get the right balance between your commitments at work and in your home life.


Flexi-time is offered to every employee of PHP, within a time frame that enables you to vary your start and finish times, and your lunch break. Our core hours, when you must be in work, are between 10am and 12pm, and 2.30pm and 4pm. You can also build up additional hours to enable you to have a flexi day, or two half days off every four weeks.

The scheme isn’t contractual, and business needs must of course come first, and the degree of flexibility in some areas will depend on the nature of the role, but provided the scheme is operated with goodwill and common sense we find it works brilliantly, and is one of our most valued benefits.

Flexible Working

Every employee has the right to apply for consideration of flexible working, which may, for example, be in the form of part time hours, compressed hours (where you work full time hours over fewer days) or working from home. It is important to take business requirements into account, and each request is considered on its own merit.
