Read Easy is a well established charity that provides 1.1 support for learners. The reading coaches are volunteers who are carefully selected and trained. The teaching manual “Yes we can read” has won the People’s Book Prize Special Achievement Award for 2011. The learner meets with the reading coach for 2 half hour sessions each week in a mutually convenient place (where other people are around) and it takes between 6 months and 18 months for the learner to progress to a reading age of 11 years.

For anyone looking for employment there are three Jobs Hubs – one at Poole Central Library (Tuesdays 10am to 1pm), one at Rossmore Library and Learning Centre (Wednesdays 11am to 2pm and Thursday 10am - 12pm) and another at Hamworthy Community Library (Monday 10am to 12pm). My Health My Way
If you have a health condition that is getting in the way, perhaps making daily life a struggle, then the My Health My Way programme may be right for you.
My Health My Way is a support service to help you develop the confidence, knowledge and skills to tackle symptoms such as immobility, breathlessness, anxiety or daily pain.
If you join the programme you will be given personalised support from a dedicated health coach who will guide you to take the steps that will make a difference to you. Thousands of other people like you have been supported in this way.
