Court Grant PHP Possession Of Property

Court give PHP possession for non occupation and condition of property

Repair

PHP was pleased to be granted possession forth with by a judge at Poole County Court for a property in Alderney as the tenant did not live there and was not granting access for a flood to be repaired.

The tenant was deaf but the judge did not feel this was a reason for her not to contact PHP or to not live in her home. The property had suffered a severe flood with ceilings hanging down and in a dangerous condition. PHP had tried to organise access to repair the property but had been unable to as the tenant would not co-operate.

PHP tried every other avenue before being forced into this action. This included offering support, liaising with advocates, trying various methods of communication.

Sarah Wallis said " PHP takes this kind of action as a last resort. However we are pleased that a much needed property can now be repaired and offered to someone of the waiting list who needs it and will appreciate it"
