About Us
Learn more about Poole Housing Partnership, what it means to be an Arms Length Management Organisation (ALMO) , Board Members and the Management Team.
Poole Housing Partnership is an Arms Length Management Organisation (ALMO), set-up under the government scheme to bring investment for improvements to homes across the Borough of Poole.
The success of the ALMO has secured funding of £35.4million for homes across Poole. This, along with additional investment from the Borough of Poole's resources, means that a total of £50-60 million is available to spend between now and 2010 on improving the Council's housing stock.
Poole Housing Partnership is a non-profit making organisation managed by a Board of 15 members, made up of 5 Councillors from all political parties, 5 residents and leaseholders and 5 independent people with professional skills to help run the service.
Being a non-profit making organisations means that any 'surpluses' are invested back into the housing stock. Although we have strong links with the Council, we operate as a separate Arms Length company, and our aim is the delivery of services that are second to none in the country.
We have a Company Secretary who ensures that the company is run in full compliance with the Companies Act and all other appropriate legislation and best practice guidance.
