How to apply for a council owned garage.
To apply for a council owned garage, you need to fill in an 'Application for Tenancy of Garage'.
When we have received the application, you will then be added to a waiting list. The garage waiting lists are split into the various areas of Poole. The length of the waiting list varies from area to area. At the moment, Poole Town Centre has the longest waiting list.
Rents for garages vary but most are on average £5.38 per week. Poole Town Centre garages will cost approximately £7.70 per week.
Non tenants may apply for garages and will be charged the same rent (as required by Law) but will be charged VAT at 17.5% on top.
If you are happy to be flexible with where your garage is located, it is possible that you may not have to wait as long as you would on specific areas.
Poole Housing Partnership tenants have the first priority on an available garage.
