Resident Involvement- Involving You
Testing services, touring estates and joining in Conferences and Fun-days
Mystery Shopping Programmes
Residents help us undertake checks of our services through taking on a role in a designed scenario and evaluating staff response. Any resident can volunteer to be part of a pool of mystery shoppers, subject to training. This is a really important role as it helps us monitor and improve our customer care.
Time: 20 minutes to carry out phone calls, 2 hours for training

Halo Groups
Many of our working and focus groups have options for involvement that don't involve coming to meetings. Residents on a halo group receive the agenda, reports and minutes for their chosen group and have an opportunity to send their comments to the Resident Involvement Officer to be taken into consideration alongside the findings from the main meeting. This is a good opportunity for those who have found an interesting issue or group, but don't want to go to the meetings.
Time: Generally 1 hour per month

Estate Tours/Environmental Visual Audits
Local Community Representatives, Councillors and local Police Officers attend and are conducted around the estate by the local Housing Officer, along with any interested residents and other invited agencies. The aim is to improve the environment, reduce crime and design out anti-social behaviour, and help to put residents in control of their own estates.
Time: 2 hours, twice a year

Respectfest
The Respectfest is an annual fun day for all residents, celebrating Poole, the people and their achievements, and emphasising the importance of respecting everyone in the community.
Time: A few hours once a year
How: Just come in on the day! Advertising in At Home and on the front page of this website will give the date
Annual Stakeholder Conference
We try and host a big annual conference for all residents and key stakeholders (councillors and other agencies), with interesting and topical speakers on issues affecting you and other residents. In 2008, we're looking to take this event more locally as a series of roadshows, coming out to talk to you in your community.
Time: A few hours once a year
